Visas have arrived and our itinerary is locked down. Now we are getting packed up and ready to go. It's hard to believe it has been close to 8 years since we were in China the first time. Lily and the six other beautiful girls were the first girls adopted from the Fuling orphanage.
Here are the girls that amazing day back in February of 2000.
Here they are 7 years later during one of our reunions.
The time sneaks by while we are living our day to day lives. We get together with the girls every 6 months, once for a day and then another time for a long weekend. When you have an experience such as this, it creates a special affinity with those you shared it with.
Lily is getting very excited for the trip and to see her other 3 'Fuling Sisters' who will be traveling with us.
Now .... where did I put that extra phone charger?

Hi Lily,
You'll be leaving tomorrow on this very excellent adventure, so I won't be seeing you for a while when I come in to collect the homework in Mrs. Peppin's class. I will miss you, but will know that you'll be having a great time. I really look forward to seeing your and your dad's blog and pictures. I just saw your picture on the main blog page and - guess what! In your picture you're wearing the same color shirt that I'm wearing today. We match AGAIN!!!! Have a wonderful time. All the best.
